I recieved my first camera for Christmas when I was 5 years old. It was a bright blue plastic 35mm camera. that I would use in the next few years to photograph Barbies posed against my closet doors, my cat, and my older sister rolling her eyes. As time passed and I approached high school graduation, my bedroom became plastered with pictures of friends, school dances, and summer vacations. These pictures are near and dear to my heart. I had discovered my passion.
Time went on and once I had children, my husband purchased my first DSLR for my birthday (he's a catch!). Many hours were spent on the floor with my kids capturing their first smiles, ballerina twirls, and never-ending giggles. After seeing my pictures, I was given an opportunity to become a second shooter with my own amazing wedding photographer, Fred Calma. I was then introduced to a whole world that I instantly fell in love with. To be in the presence of two people so in love was magical. Then to capture that magic and every other little thought-out detail on their wedding day in my camera was truly an honor.
I continue to be honored with each wedding day, baby birth, and family memory that I document. I strive to give you a new point of view, to capture your real smile, make you feel like a million bucks, and hopefully in the end of it all, we'll be good friends. I look forward to it.
